Natalie is the Assistant Director at the Student Counseling Center. She services both Portland and Biddeford campuses, but her primary location is on the Biddeford campus. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Vermont and completed her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Colorado (CU). Natalie is passionate about the value of counseling in higher education settings, having held a position at the counseling center at CU before coming to UNE. Natalie is certified in yoga teaching and mindfulness-based techniques. Along with these approaches, Natalie has received additional training to incorporate techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy. Natalie works to meet each student's needs by listening curiously and being open to a wide variety of approaches, modalities, and beliefs.
